With over 15 years of experience in the fields of motivational speaking, coaching, speaker training and education, Sumaya has developed a unique approach to her "Power Speaker" Coaching that combines evidence-based practices with a client-centered focus. Sumaya holds a Master's degree in Teaching and serves as a Speaker Trainer (both independently and alongside) her father, Internationally renowned Motivational Speaker, Les Brown. Sumaya has also co-authored New York Times Bestselling book, Teaching Hope, with Freedom Writers Pioneer and Educator, Erin Gruwell, The Freedom Writer Teachers and The Original Freedom Writers. Sumaya is also a proud graduate of Spelman College.
